Leithanon (Original)

The original prince Leithanon, younger brother to High King Helios and Queen Circe, and twin to Theo, despised son of High king Searen, and Searen's darkest secret.

personality: Leithanon was forced by his father to live in secret, completely cut off from anyone who wasnt family or closely trusted by the king. He never left the palace, despite a great desire to do so, because he was held back by his fear of what would happen should he ever attempt leave, and what his father would do to him if he ever misbehaved. Leithanon was a kind hearted child who enjoyed playing with his siblings and pets, the only friends he was allowed to have. Despite his shyness, he couldnt stand seeing anyone upset or having trouble, often almost breaking his father's rules out of a need to help in some way while still keeping unseen. His relationship between his father and himself was nothing short of abusive from the moment he was born up until his death. It was his father who gave him his name which basically means "Less than nobody" in the old drake language, a reference to his forced lot in life which required him to stay unseen and unheard of. If there was one thing Leithanon truly feared, it was his father, as he was one of few who could see how much of a monster Searen had turned into. His mother, meanwhile, Loved him dearly, and would often free him of his bindings so he could have a little freedom while his father was unaware, and let him play and practice his magic.  He loved his older brother and sister, but his strongest relationship was with his twin, Theo, who was easily his best friend. Where one was, the other was likely never far behind. Despite being long gone, his siblings still describe him as having always been there when they needed help most, and speak fondly of him to this day, despite nobody knowing who or what he was.

powers: Leithanon was unique, a perfect hybrid of fire and water. he held control of both elements equally and at a young age his magic could match that of a full grown drake several centuries his senior. Leithanon had one notable gift, he was a natural healer, even saving his twin from dying after a training accident almost shattered Theo's soulshard.

abilities: Leithanon was a royal drake and was unable to be killed by anyone else but another royal drake. He was taught closely by his mother and private tutors who his parents trusted to keep their secret. while he was forbidden to learn how to fight, he learned a bit by playing with his brothers and watching them train with their teachers in secret. He was even able to learn much of his magic by simply watching others.

history: Leithanon was born twin of Theo and son of high king Searen 20 years after the decline of the old drake empire ruled by King Tsorrid, and at the very beginning of the new kingdom Led by his father, King Searen. At birth, when just what he was became clear, his father immediately feared him as a sign of the end, a reminder of what was called "the last prophecy", an apocalyptic vision of chaos and the draconian, a vision which had already weighed heavy on Searen just as it had on his brother before him and his rule. to prevent mass panic over the "chaotic" nature of his son's element, Searen confined his son to the palace, never to leave, explaining the missing prince to his people as having died at birth, a fluke. over the years his fear of his son turned to resentment, causing him to use more draconian methods of keeping his son a secret, disguised under the lie that it was to protect him and others. he only stopped short of outright killing his son due to the bidding of his wife, who loved their child immensely for his gifts. this allowed the royal family to live together in uneasy yet peaceful normalcy and ignorance of the abuse and what that abuse would lead to. This unfortunate routine met its end when Leithanon turned 14 years old, and his mother died mysteriously, her soulshard shattered. Searen, using his bride's death as an excuse, blamed Leithanon for her murder, as the drakeling was seen trying to heal his mother and was covered in her blood. In his rage Searen hunted the drakeling down and killed him, leaving only himself and his other children aware of Leithanon's demise and the events which lead to it. It is said that while the king mourned his wife at her funeral pyre, his children mourned a name nobody recognized.

weaknesses: Leithanon was restrained by enchantments and old drake torture devices which limited his magic and forcefully weakened him. any attempts at magic that could cause harm or trouble would result in his shackles causing him intense pain for however long his father saw fit as punishment. he wore a device which would contain his soulshard at his father's whim and prevent him from teleportation or even be noticed by other drakes, effectively keeping him under lock and key, even in his own body. the only training in magic he had was by his mother who had to teach him in secret. he could not fly, his wings were restrained by yet another device which threatened to break them if he should even try. all of these devices enacted punishment based on how painful his father wanted them to be and because his father refused to take risk, they could break Leithanon's bones in an instant.

I hope you guys enjoy this new-ish character. I know Ive mentioned Leithanon before but this is the first time he's actually getting a design of his own.
